HUC Officers play a fundamental role in the operation and development of the Consortium.
Led by the HUC Secretariat, they foster the exchange of ideas, support the development of new proposals, and help transform those initiatives into concrete projects that are later brought to life through HUC’s various working groups.
During the 2026 HUC General Assembly in Bogotá, they played an especially active role. In addition to presenting their respective universities and sharing their strengths, priorities, and opportunities for collaboration, they participated in workshops designed to reflect on ongoing initiatives and define new areas for joint action.
Their contribution is essential, as they serve as the primary link between HUC and each member university. In this capacity, they facilitate connections among faculty, researchers, and institutional leaders, identify opportunities for cooperation, and work to ensure that Consortium initiatives align with the interests and capabilities of their academic communities.
The relationships of trust built among universities are one of the driving forces behind HUC.
Thanks to their commitment, ideas are connected, conversations move forward, and opportunities become shared projects. Ultimately, HUC Officers are the individuals who keep the network active and make it possible for hemispheric collaboration to grow and flourish.
